Klantbeoordeling 9,6/10
Built for rally, drifting and any simulation that benefits from a dedicated analogue handbrake, the MOZA HBP uses an aluminium body and a high-resolution angle sensor to translate lever movement into consistent input. Its resistance, travel and stop position can be adjusted to suit the driver, while the lever can be installed horizontally or vertically to match road-car and race-car layouts.
Why choose this product?
- The non-contact 16-bit angle sensor provides detailed input without a mechanical sensing surface that wears through repeated use.
- Adjustable resistance, travel and lever orientation let you match the handbrake feel and position to your rig and driving discipline.
Product details
Aluminium construction and precise sensing
The handbrake is made from aluminium and uses a non-contact 16-bit high-precision angle sensor. The sensor reads lever position rather than relying on a conventional contacting potentiometer, supporting consistent operation over long racing sessions. The official dimensions are 153 × 68.3 × 365.5 mm and the net weight is 0.7 kg.
Adjustable lever feel and mounting
Brake travel and rebound strength can be tuned by changing the spring arrangement and stop position. The lever supports horizontal and vertical installation, while side mounting is available as an optional configuration. The base uses an M6 bolt pattern for fixed installation on a suitable cockpit or mounting plate. Desk installation requires separate mounting hardware and is not included with the handbrake.
Connection and configuration
For PC use, the HBP can connect directly by USB. MOZA also lists the HBP as directly connectable to supported current MOZA wheelbases. Configuration and calibration are handled in MOZA Pit House. Console compatibility is not claimed for the handbrake as a standalone product and must not be inferred solely from a connected wheelbase.
Compatibility
Platform: PC through a direct USB connection.
Connection and ecosystem: Direct USB to PC or connection to a supported current MOZA wheelbase.
Requirements: A suitable rig, mounting plate or separate desk-mount solution is required. Side-mount and desk-mount hardware are not included.

Frequently asked questions
Can the MOZA HBP Handbrake connect directly to a PC?
Yes. It supports a direct USB connection to a PC and can be calibrated in MOZA Pit House.
Can I adjust the handbrake resistance and travel?
Yes. The spring arrangement and stop position can be adjusted to change rebound strength, operating travel and the final lever position.
Can the lever be mounted horizontally or vertically?
Yes. The lever supports horizontal and vertical installation. Optional side mounting is also supported when suitable hardware is used.
Does the handbrake include a desk clamp?
No. A separate mounting plate and compatible desk-clamp solution are required for a desk installation.
Does the angle sensor require routine mechanical maintenance?
The position sensor is non-contact, so it does not use a contacting sensing surface that wears in the same way as a conventional potentiometer.
